When visiting the Philippines in the early 70's, we stayed on the beach in the family nipa palm beach hut. We struck up an aquaintance with Oping, a fisherman who lived nearby. I wanted to see him again so we searched and found him on this road. (The woman is sweeping up leaves with a broom made of local materials and burning them.)

My fond memories included those of Oping's generosity. He shared fish and lobster from his daily catch. One huge lobster was large enough to feed several people!
